availability post 2

Availability (Post #2)

Already asked, but I thought I'd see if anyone has heard any new rumors etc.
Will Microsoft Mail be available for XP, or will it run only on Vista? Anyone hear anything more on this subject (maybe it's too early to ask)?
Thanks.

Currently the status is no availability for Windows XP, but things could eventually change, and I personally think it should be back ported to Windows XP since IE is not the only attacked component of Windows. Some of those AntiPhishing features, Word Wheel and the Mail store would do existing Windows XP and OE 6 users well. As you mentioned, its still too early, lets hope for a surprise. :) -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "darkrats" wrote in message

*Windows* Mail will only be available with Vista.

Obviously you missed Bryan Starbucks announcement a few days ago. Read here about Windows Live Mail Desktop (name might still change), which indeed will be available for XP, too, and is based on Windows Mail: http://spaces.msn.com/bryanstarbuck/
